History of the department of History
The History Department of Lashio University was established in 1978 at the same time as Lashio Regional College was established.
Department of History teaches students specializing in history in Ancient History, Modern History, World History, Southeast Asia History, Economic History, Cultural History and Political History for Bachelor of Arts, Honors and Master of Arts degrees.
Aspects of Myanmar is taught by the Department of History for all first year Arts and Science students. Introduction of Myanmar Civilization is being taught by the Department of History for first year Philosophy students.
